MUMBAI: Ustad Amjad Ali Khan’s two sons Amaan and Ayaan have taken the legacy of their father forward by making their mark in the music industry. Their exemplary Sarod playing has attracted many a folk music from the industry and their recent collaboration with artist Karsh Kale has created quite a stir. Producer-director Karan Johar who has been a connoisseur of their music, unveiled their new music album titled, INFINITY at the newly launched The Park in Juhu, Mumbai.
Commenting on the event, Ayaan Ali Bangash said, “We have been fortunate to be able to realise this album with a very talented and committed team on board. Each song has been created with passion and having Karan Johar unveil the album to the public was the cherry on the cake, onwards and upwards from here!”
Karan Johar also said, “I am happy that Amaan and Ayaan have collaborated with Karsh since it will be an interesting step in a totally new direction for them. I really look forward to this myself as a filmmaker since music forms such an integral part of a movie. With our cinema evolving so much, a film’s sound and music play a key role in defining its plot and the characters. I’ve grown up listening to Indian music, and that has been a major influence in my life and work. Hence, I’d love to be a part of this collaboration with Amaan and Ayaan.”

Present at the event were the three talented artistes along with Karan Johar. Celebs who graced the occasion where Abhishek Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Shweta Nanda, Ramesh Taurani, Ustad Amjad Ali Khan with wife Subhalakshmi Barua Khan and others. Combining the two unique styles of electronica and classical music, Karsh Kale, Amaan Ali Bangash and Ayaan Ali Bangash have outdone themselves with this album, which consists of 7 new songs.
Amaan and Ayaan believe in the endlessness of the sound and music, which depict the continuity in the human form. The album, INFINITY defines and encapsulates this emotion with finesse. The songs have been written and performed by Amaan and Ayaan, arranged, produced and mixed by Karsh Kale and mastered by Julian Mascarenhas. The composite lyrics have been penned by Pavithra Chari.
The new album contains seven tracks titled Infinity, Home, Darkness, Believe, Space Between, Angels and Journeymen. Karsh Kale is a pioneer in Asian Underground Music and this is his second collaboration with the duo. Produced by Jio Saavn, the album has been launched today and will be available online.
