MUMBAI: Singer Kailash Kher and his Kailasa band colleagues Paresh and Naresh, are set to launch their third album with Sony Music. The album will officially launch by mid June.
The album, christened â€?Kailasa Chaandan Mien’ (Kailasa in Moonlight) will cover eight tracks and is fairly different from the band’s last two releases. We believe in moving towards betterment. We deem to experiment with the composition and the lyrics of the songs. We have got various musicians from different parts of India to perform for our album. We have tried to keep the music of the songs as simple as possible,… says Kher.
The lyrics have a Devnagari dialect and also the Hindi language used is â€?Khadi-Boli’,” he adds. Although the videos of the album have not been shot yet, all the tracks will feature the trio.
The album will be publicised at the Channel V Launch Pad event on Saturday in Mumbai, where three bands including Kailasa would be performing. The title track of the album â€?Chaandan Mien’ and â€?Na Bhaati Tu Peechan’ will be presented by Kailasa.
Unlike the first two Kailasa albums, the new album is all set to launch internationally. New York based World Music Label, Cumbancha Records are the international launch partners.
Kailash Kher also plans to release his Bangla album next year. I am fond of Baul music and other Sufi music of Bangladesh. I am being taught Bengali by my friends for this album, which will be based on Ravindra sangeet,” he says.
