MUMBAI: &TV and Endemol India’s Independence Day special episode of ‘The Voice India,’ to be telecast on 15 August, will see a mix of both sad and happy emotions.
Let’s talk about the good things first. Mika Singh’s big brother Daler Mehndi will be a part of the episode and the contestants will be seen singing his songs.
The second highlight will be Himesh Reshammiya. This time round, Reshammiya will not gift golden shoes or his jacket to a contestant but a wrist watch. Sachet from Reshammiya’s team will get this special gift from his mentor for his performance.

In the dreaded round of elimination, some teams will lose their best voices. The contestants, who will be eliminated are Jyotica from Team Mika, Varsha from Team Shaan, Anish from Team Himesh and Oishwaryaa from Team Sunidhi.
Just like in previous weeks, the mentors will save their favourite contestants, while the others will be open for elimination. Given below is a list of contestants in the safe and unsafe zones.
