MUMBAI: Total Dhamaal is one of the most awaited movies of 2019 considering tha mammoth star-cast and crazy comedy. While, one might think the music has little to do in comedies, think again. Total Dhamaal’s music is already picking up. After Paisa Hai Paisa, the producers have released the next song Mungada, a remake of one of the most iconic songs in the history of Hindi film music. Originally sung by Usha Mangeshkar, composed by Rajesh Roshan and pictured on Helen, this song from the movie Inkaar, is still a loved song.
Cut to 2019, this song is remade and sung by a fresh voice Jyotica Tangri and pictured on Sonakshi Sinha. The singer is obviously extremely excited to be a part of this. She exclaims, “I used to tour with Rajesh Roshan sir and sing this song. Therefore, I had a hang of this song and when I got an opportunity to sing this song for a movie, I was happy and confident too.”
The song is pictured in the most glamorous set-up and features Sonakshi Sinha in what looks like a cameo.

The Sa Re Ga Ma Pa finalist also released another song after Patola Lagdi within a three-day time frame, apart from Kuchh Toh Hai with Yasser Desai, produced by Ajay Jaiswal under Zee Music Label. This single has been received extremely well by the audience and is still receiving more love. Jyotica had her say on this, “We shot in Nepal, which was extremely beautiful and lot of fun to shoot in. This is also my first full feature video so I am very excited.”
She is also working for new wedding song for the upcoming Valetine’s Day called Ungli Par Ring Rakh Di. With Patola and Kuch Toh Hai and also big film song, Mungada, Jyotica is certainly on a roll. She shares, “I want to do more of independent music. I usually don’t plan. In a span of two years, I have met great people and got good opportunities too. Let’s see what I have in store.”
On her inspiration, Jyotica reveals, “There are so many in India itself. I look up to Ashaji, Arijit Singh, there are just so many. But my absolute favourite is Sunidhi Chauhan, who I think is a diva.”
