JWT picks up Channel [V] creative account

MUMBAI: Channel [V], the youth channel from the Star India stable, has appointed JWT India to handle its creative duties.

With this win, JWT now has four channels from the Star Network in its kitty. The others channels are Star World, Star Movies and Star One.

Earlier in August 2009, Channel [V] had appointed Lowe Lintas to give it a brand facelift, thereby, helping it don its new bloody cool… positioning.

The relaunch was aimed at moving over to more of non-music content in the form of new shows that the channel had launched.

The channel had planned to make some changes in the programming pattern based on a study that was conducted over three months amongst 4000 respondents, which showed that the youngsters want content that taps into youth issues and sentiments like peer pressure, relationships, grooming and looks, adventure and entertainment.

According to Star India marketing EVP Anupam Vasudev, JWT India already handles three channels from the Star portfolio, which includes Star World, Star Movies and Star One.
