MUMBAI: She is still new to the Bollywood music space, thus, she is being cautious with her steps. For every move she makes would either take her towards success or failure, there is no midway in the Bollywood music industry. Fortunately for Jasleen Royal it’s been a success ride so far with her latest Bollywood composition ‘Nachde Ne Saare’ from ‘Baar Baar Dekho’ becoming a rage.
Royal who is talented, undoubtedly, had to struggle to bag ‘Nachde Ne Saare’. The singer-songwriter-composer had the shaadi number with her, but had no takers, till she reached Dharma Productions. The team liked her song, but wanted Royal to rework as per their film. The singer who composed for ‘Haramkhor’ did all she could to make the song work and it finally got approved. Now, it is one of the most loved songs of Bollywood.
“It takes a lot to impress big names. The job was challenging for me, but I kept working,” stated the ‘Badla Badla’ singer.

However, all the success and the ever increasing numbers around her composed song do not impress her much. “I do not know how the numbers work. I am just happy that my work was appreciated. The best part people realised that I existed,” said Royal who is looking forward to her next release ‘Shivaay’.
On having bagged two songs in Ajay Devgan starrer ‘Shivaay’ the music composer explained that she was invited to perform at Irrfan Khan’s place. She went on to give a live performance unknowing that ‘Shivaay’ team was present at his place. The team liked the performance and asked her to work on songs for the film and the next thing she knew was her songs were selected.
“I played the songs to Ajay Devgn and he liked them,” summed it Royal who was has had her own set of ups and downs in the industry.
“Music for me is a way of expression. I cannot do without music. It makes me happy, but there was a time when I did not know which way I was heading. That is when my brother and my friends helped. They just asked me to go on with music. It’s been a long journey, but I am happy with all that has finally happened,” averred the singer- composer.
Lastly, Royal said that she wishes to work with industry names like Farhan Akhtar, Vikramaditya Motwane and Zoya Akhtar in the future.
