MUMBAI: Punjabi singer Maninder Buttar, who stirred a storm with his blockbuster song, Sakhiyaan, has recently released his new song, Jamila.
“Jamila is an Arabic word, which means a beautiful woman. The song is a peppy number and has an Arabic feel. We have also done some Arabic moves in the song, while wearing a kandoora (Arabic outfit),” shares excited Maninder, who was recently present in Mumbai for the promotion of the song.
The song has crossed over 15 million views on YouTube. On this, he further explains, “It feels great!”

Maninder Buttar became the talk after his 2018 blockbuster, Sakhiyaan became a rage among music goers.
On being asked, if Jamila will manage to match its success, Maninder explains, “No song is made while keeping in mind that it will become a blockbuster, I had not thought about the same during Sakhiyaan too. People are loving Jamila, but until first 20 days pass-by, we cannot say that it will be a blockbuster. So, touchwood it works and hopefully reaches Sakhiyaan’s level.
The singer also loves to write songs as he believes the person, who writes a song owns it. But, composing remains his favourite.
Further speaking about his upcoming projects, Maninder Buttar reveals, “I am working on a duet song apart from the other ones in my list. The same team will work with me including Babbu and MixSingh.”
Lastly, the popular singer concludes with a message to fans, “I want to tell my fans that I had never thought my songs will become a huge hit and if I will ever become a singer in India. My dream was to go abroad, which got refused from almost everywhere. I had accepted defeat once, but would tell my fans to never lose hope. Work hard and dedicatedly follow your goals. Nobody will be able to stop you then. Also, respect your parents.”
