MUMBAI: Not all young souls are determined in their hearts and minds when it comes to choosing a career path. At times one just explores all that he/she can till they find their true calling. Something similar happened with Harshi Mad.
After dabbling with singing, acting and modelling, Harshi has found her true calling in music. Now she will be focusing all her energy on playback singing.
Harshi started her journey as a music reality show contestant and then went on to do concerts with the best in the industry. However, during this phase, she also tried her hand at modelling and acting. “I was a bit confused initially. So, when I got an acting role or a modelling offer, I took it up. But, I love singing so, that is something that I would pursue,” says the ‘Raat Saturday Ki Hai’ singer.

Her love for music stayed intact as the singer continued being a part of music concerts. “I did events for three years with well-known music directors. This is also when I actually got to meet them. There is huge competition in the music industry and one has to try really hard to showcase their talent. Luckily for me, I did not have to make the rounds of studios. The composers got to see me at live concerts,” giggles the singer who shifted base from the UK to Mumbai to fulfill her playback dreams.
She is currently living her playback aspiration with ‘Jager Bomb’ a song that is also sung by Dwayne Bravo and composed by Ankit Tiwari. “I like party music so, it was fun recording for the song. This is my second party song after ‘Raat Saturday Ki Hai’.”
Harshi may have excelled in party songs as per Bollywood parameters, but that is not all that she wants to be restricted to. “I also like romantic songs and I would like to sing them. I have already sung one for an upcoming film and I hope to get more,” confesses the singer who wants to do some good work in Bollywood.
