MUMBAI: After stealing the hearts of their fans with the single ‘Thief’ last year, rock/alt rock band- Indus Creed is now working on releasing two more singles in the coming months. The two singles that the band plans on releasing are ‘In Circle’ and ‘Paper Walls’. Talking about the singles, Indus Creed frontman Uday Benegal said, “We have been writing new music and we will put it out only when we are completely happy and ready to release it.”
Guitarist and vocalist Mahesh Tinaikar also confirmed that the band members finally had the opportunity to spend some time away from gigs and other activities. “We all went out together. We spent time together and got inspired to write new music,” stated Tinaikar.

The band’s last album was 2012 released ‘Evolve’ which was mixed by Grammy-nominated engineer Tim Palmer. Although they have no plans to release a full length album, the five member band will put out music, in batches. Benegal stated, “People are listening to more singles rather than albums, so we will release our new tracks in batches.”
Benegal described the track ‘In Circle’ as a heavy track. However, ‘Paper Walls’, he said, would neither be an up-tempo track nor a ballad.
Both tracks will also have videos, Benegal added. “Many people want to look at visual aspects. We have many people listening to music on YouTube. Instead of putting out static images, we might put out lyrical or a well-produced video. We will figure it out.” He believes that it is the perfect time to work on tracks and release them, since it is off-season for festivals and things have slowed down a bit.
For now, the band is focussing on India rather than looking at playing outside the country. He pointed out, “For the live scene, India is a dynamic and emerging market. However, the west is a saturated industry, so that is not our focus. There is new stuff happening here. If there is something that happens abroad we are not reluctant to do it. We are not concentrating our energy at looking at gigs outside.”
