MUMBAI: After a couple of audio launches last month, music giant T-Series has now acquired the audio rights of Aamir Khan’s home production ‘Peepli Live’, the music of which is scored by Indie-rock band Indian Ocean.
The audio of the film is scheduled to launch on 13 July and has a couple of music directors along with Indian Ocean composing for it. The band has scored two songs for the film. “One of the tracks is re adapted from our older song while another is a new composition based on a poem by Pakistani poet N M Rashid,” says the band’s percussionist Amit Kilam. Actor Raghuveer Yadav who is starring in the film has also flexed his vocal muscles for a track
The band has earlier composed for films including Swaraj and Black Friday and had launched its first music film titled â€?Leaving Home: The Life and Music of Indian Ocean’ based on the journey of the 19-year old music group.
Talking about the music release of the film T-Series’ president- marketing media publishing (TV) Vinod Bhanushali says, “The music of the film will be launched at an event in Blue frog, Mumbai on 13 July. There are lots of surprises in store for the promotion of the film.”
