MUMBAI: Indian consumers prefer android smartphones over iPhone, according to Know Your Mobile, who released their first KYM India User Survey 2011 held in partnership with Demographix.
The report states that about 50 percent of the respondents indicated their next purchase would be an Android phone while only 35 percent of users displayed interest in buying an iPhone.
Also about 87 percent stated that the operating system is the key driver for mobile selection followed by internet browsing capabilities and high-resolution camera. The report is based on an online survey conducted between May-August 2011, providing insight into the changing consumer preference in selection of mobile phones and latest trends in the smartphone and tablet trends.
