MUMBAI: Ministry of Culture, Government of India had upgraded with technology and launched an app for devotional music lovers in February. Within three months, the app has been favoured by the public with positive rankings and reviews. The app was launched recently to bridge the gap between two generations and bringing them various genres of music from each state of India.
India is known for its rich heritage and culture and in an endeavour to bring the vast repertoire of music in the country. The app was launched in February 2019 and has been loved by the devotional music lovers. The library of this app has over 250 hours of exclusive music which was not available in the public domain. 2500 tracks, 400 artists, 100 themes in 24 Indian languages, encompass works of legends and Bharat Ratna recipients M S Subbulakshmi, Pandit Bhimsen Joshi, Ustad Bismillah Khan among many others. The content is categorized by deities, time zones and important shrines. There is a completely separate segment for Vaishnao Devi chants too. The app includes Bhajans like Vaishnava Janato and Raghupati Raghav Rajaram to semi-classical to instrumental and much more.
Although, this is an app for devotional music, the app is updated with Artificial intelligence search update with completely ad-free streaming and the option of creating playlists too. The app is available on Google Play store for both Android and iOs platforms, for free of cost.
