MUMBAI: Musician and singer Amaal Malik is no stranger to accolades and fame. The hitmaker, known for his melodies and foot-tapping tracking including – Sooraj Dooba Hai, Main Hoon Hero Tera, Bol Do Na Zara, Soch Na Sake, Sab Tera, Main Rahoon Ya Na Rahoon.
The mind behind the soundtrack of MS Dhoni , Badrinath Ki Dulhania, Airlift, Badla , Baaghi, Kapoor & Sons & is amongst the country’s most sought after names in the music industry. In the times of lockdown and pandemic, he recently recorded the Macedonian Symphonic Orchestra live for his upcoming songs in Saina Nehwal movie.
Talking about his experience, Amaal Mallik comments, ‘Saina Nehwal’s soundtrack is one of the most prestigious and powerful scores I worked on. We haven’t done something so beautiful like this before, something so varied like multi-genre. Its got the soul, the Indian melody, and lyrics at heart, but the Macedonia orchestra has added another world of dynamics and beauty to the arrangement. it a fusion of extreme genres, a mix of something new and fresh Each musician has added such a beautiful vibe, we recorded around 30 strings,10 brass, and many more on skype. It is the most fulfilling experience just doing music the live way especially in such difficult times. Today in such difficult times, when everyone is social distancing, 40 brilliant musicians led orchestra came together after being in their houses for 2-3 months to bring this score to life. They played so beautifully on the score and songs. I am thankful to everyone associated with the project. It will be a special soundtrack. It has a lot of love and passion and good original music. It was a blessing recording with such a prestigious orchestra and a big thank you to my director Amole Gupta, without whom I wouldn’t be able to visualize such a big sore and grand songs. I will be thankful and ever grateful to him for life to letting be me with my music’.
