MUMBAI: Known for creating some sensational raps, rapper Badshah has sung for the first time with the song, Tareefan. Featuring boss ladies Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonam Kapoor starrer, Swara Bhaskar and Shikha Talsania, the song is the first single from their upcoming film, Veere Di Wedding.
On his first outing as a solo singer, Badshah, who is collaborating with the Kapoor sisters for the second time, said, “It is a great song. I was a bit nervous until I practiced a lot and the song has come out to be good.”

The song is a swapped version of what usually is shown as the men thing in other songs. You can see glamorously dolled up gang of Kareena, Sonam, Swara and Shikha blatantly partying while playing the role of that played by men in real life. The sexy ladies are seen enjoying the attention of hot boys, who have been shown toying around them. The divas lip-synching to Badshah’s vocals is totally a bizarre concept seen in a Bollywood song.
When asked about this different concept, Badshah added, “We have for the first time used boys for the beautification of the video, while these ladies sing on my song. We wanted to make it a typical guy thing but with the ladies being the boss. With this, we wanted to make a statement of woman power.”
Tareefan has already garnered 8 million views on YouTube and has been topping Apple Music, where it would be available exclusively for the first 48 hours. On this, the talented rapper said, “It feels encouraging and good. I’m happy that people have accepted me as a singer.”
Badshah, who is keen to sing more in future said, “Yes, I want to sing seeing the response I’m getting, but there would always be an element of rapping present in my songs as I’m a rapper first.”
Badshah, who had to lose some kilos to match the sexy ladies is happy to have had collaborated with the Kapoor sisters on Veere Di Wedding and wishes luck for the film. The rapper also credits Rhea for one of his biggest hit songs apart from Tareefan.

Meanwhile, Badshah next single with Aastha Gill will be releasing this May. Their last collaboration, Buzz with Priyank Sharma is still a rage among fans. The song has garnered 55 million views in mere two weeks time. Badshah signed of by assuring that more hits will be coming from his side.
