MUMBAI: Legendary opera star Pl??cido Domingo is appointed as chairman of the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI).
Domingo will look after improving copyright legislation, work of music rights owners, digital music sector and support industry’s public education efforts around digital music.

Domingo is a world-renowned, multifaceted artist who has played a record 134 operatic roles in more than 3,500 career performances and has won prolific acclaim including 12 Grammy awards.
