MUMBAI: Vocalist Medha Sahi, who claims that she’s started looking onto her singing career seriously has lent her voice to the title track of Girl In The City, an inspirational one of a kind web series. She speaks about how she was driven to do the track.
Speaking about the same Medha said, “Personally, Girl In The City resonates with me a lot. And, it’s also quite funny as recently, I decided to go from my teaching track to the singing track. Trying to be like a full-time singer and taking chances, where there are huge chances of failure, was a big challenge for me. The whole point of the song is there is not just an option to fail; you should do everything and work towards your passion. If you really believe in yourself, failure is not an option.”

Medha further elaborated, “It is such an honour to work with Disney as the quality is nice and the show is quite relatable. When you sing for a title track that you relate, it’s always a good experience. In the certain part of the whole creative process, where there were some changes, me and Karan Malhotra (lyricist and composer of the song) had to rework on. It was such an overall beautiful experience.”
“This is one of the best tracks, I have worked on in the past because I was quite involved with the creative process and overall developing the feel of the song. Personally, as a singer, there was quite a struggle in the beginning because I couldn’t nail, what the composer wanted. Finally, it came down to us stripping down all these instruments and just sitting with the Guitar and working on the sound,” she added.
Furthermore, she revealed she would be working on songs for an upcoming Amazon Prime Original web series.
