MUMBAI: In our growing up years we tend to disconnect with a lot of things that we cherished being associated with at some point in time. RJ, stylist and actor Madhurima Nigam too went through something similar in her life.
Today she is keen on getting back to doing the things she liked the most in her younger days. In fact, she starts the same with her play ‘Selfie’ that will have shows at the start of next month.
‘Selfie’ is about knowing oneself and growing as an individual. Something, that Madhurima is working towards in her personal life.

The RJ who has earlier acted and played an important role in the play ‘3 Women’ will be back to acting with ‘Selfie.’ “I did a play last year, but there has been a long gap. I used to participate in a lot of plays during my college days. However, post marriage I did not act in many plays or TV shows. hence, the comeback is challenging. I am learning little nuances of the art form once again,” revealed the RJ who recently got back to RJing with the second season of Big FM’s ‘Kucch Panne Zindagi Ke.’
Madhurima is also open to Bollywood acting offers but her being a star wife limits her options at times as she stated, “I am known as Sonu Nigam’s wife and this brings in a lot of apprehensions. Though, I am open to all sorts of offers.”
However, it’s her husband Sonu Nigam is always proud of her achievements. “Sonu is a very encouraging and proud husband when it comes to even the smallest of my achievements. His eyes gleam with pride.
“There was a time when he wanted me to be around him. In fact, even now he likes having me around when he is home. But, at the same time he gives me the freedom to pursue my dreams. Currently, he is recovering from a (Knee ) surgery. It’s a tough time but, I know he is strong and he will get well soon,” said Madhurima.
Furthermore, talking about Radio she stated, “We (her and Big FM team) wanted to give the show gap of a year to come back with a refreshed version of ‘Kucch Panne Zindagi Ke.’ In fact, in this season, we are trying to incorporate the younger generation.”
