MUMBAI: Nashaboy Akhil Sachdeva, whose debut song, Humsafar made him an overnight star, has bagged the IIFA nomination for the song in the Best Music Direction category.
Expressing joy on this feat, Akhil said, “I’m extremely happy for being nominated in the Best Music Direction category for my song Humsafar from Badrinath Ki Dulhania.”
On being asked if he would win the award, the Gal Sun singer further said, “I am actually not looking forward for anything as being nominated for my debut song itself is a win for me.”

“Apart from Pritam Da for Jagga Jasoos, all other films have multiple composers who are nominated. I hope the best wins,” said Akhil when asked to comment on other music directors, nominated in the category.
Meanwhile, Akhil Sachdeva’s first debut single, Gal Sun, with T-Series, has crossed 6.5 million views on YouTube.
