MUMBAI: Pioneering musician and singer Lesle Lewis lets his heart rule his head if the cause is a good one. This time, the man who introduced remixes and Hindi-pop to the masses has taken up to composing a song for upcoming World Heart Day. Not only has Lewis penned the song, he will also be singing it.
“It’s a feel good song that has been inspired by the spirit of Bombay. I hope everyone can sing along. I have tried to capture the various avatars of the ‘heart’ not only from the health point of view but also romance, courage and other aspects it is associated with,” he revealed to Radioandmusic.com.
The song, which is part of an awareness campaign on the importance of taking good care of one’s heart will be released on 29 September and will be promoted extensively using the mass media. Lewis will perform the song at the release in the city.
In addition to his ‘heartfelt’ project, Lewis enjoys promoting new talent and having a good time and touring with his band. He is currently working on a new Electronic Dance Music (EDM) album with children of his illustrious peers and also performing his songs and rock classics like ‘Proud Mary’ (Creedence Clearwater Revival- CCR) with his band comprising of young musicians around the country.
“I live for music. After achieving so much as a musician including the many accolades as part of Colonial Cousins, I am reinventing myself and singing my songs my way,” he signs off.
