Guns N’ Roses inaugural tour dates announced

MUMBAI: Bustling with musical action after the performance of several legendary artistes like Enrique Iglesias, Korn, Megadeth, David Guetta, Pitbull and more, the live music scene in India is all set to get bigger and better. The country is geared up to open its stage to the year’s biggest act as iconic American hard rock band Guns N’ Roses has announced the dates of their three-city inaugural tour.

Organized by Mooz Entertainment, the tour will commence from 7 December in Bangalore followed by Mumbai on 9 December and Gurgaon on 12 December. 

Speaking about the tour, MOOZ Entertainment SVP Karamjeet Singh said, “Our effort is to give rock fans in India a full frontal feel of the GN’R experience. In effect what the audience will see and hear is precisely geared to exacting international standards. We are gearing up for an unbelievable turnout, possibly the highest turnout ever for a rock concert in India. Our conviction comes from the fact that GN’R is one of the most iconic bands of our times with the kind of feedback, emails phone calls that we are already receiving from fans across the country.”

Managed by Fernando Lebeis, GN’R comprises of six members; Dizzy Reed (keyboards), Richard Fortus (guitar), Tommy Stinson (bass), Ron ‘Bumblefoot’ Thal (guitar), Frank Ferrer (drums) and DJ Ashba (guitar). 

Ecstatic on their inaugural India tour Guns N’ Roses members expressed –

Dizzy Reed (keyboards): “It has been a lifelong dream of mine to visit India. I have always been fascinated by it’s ancient culture and influential people. To be able to experience some of that while rockin’ and rollin’ with Guns N’ Roses, how awesome is that going to be?  I can’t wait.  For all of the GN’R fans in India, the wait is almost over.  See you in December.” 

Richard Fortus (guitar): “There are very few places in the world, left for me to cross off of my ‘must see before I die’ list.  India is at the top of that list, so needless to say, I am thrilled that we will be playing there. I have always been fascinated by the culture, the music, the art and films of India.” 

Tommy Stinson (bass): “I have wanted to go to India since the first time I saw the James Bond movie Octopussy.  I’m totally looking forward to the tour.”

Ron ‘Bumblefoot’ Thal (guitar): “I’m really looking forward to coming to India. To experience the culture, food, meet the fans and make new friends.”

Frank Ferrer (drums): “Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think that I would be playing a concert in India.  I am truly fortunate and can’t wait to see the Indian people go crazy for GN’R.”

Dj Ashba (guitar): “I am looking forward to performing for the beautiful people of India.  This has been a lifetime dream of mine. Together we are going to create a party that people will talk about for years to come.”

Fernando Lebeis (manager): “We are thrilled to finally have GN’r in India and know the fans have waited many years to see them live.”

The tickets for the concerts are available on the official site of kyazoonga and at select retail outlets. The passes range from Rs 1,500 (Silver), Rs 3,000 (Gold) and Rs. 10,000 (Platinum Lounge).
