MUMBAI: New Delhi, Hip Hop artist Sez on the Beat who is widely acknowledged as the music producer of the song ‘Mere Gully Mein’ from the film ‘Gully Boy’, that brought Indian hip-hop into the mainstream, has released his first single #DevNagri from his upcoming album with Rapper DAKAIT from Uttarakhand.
‘Dev Nagri’ is the first single off DAKAIT and Sez on the Beat’s upcoming album, featuring Aniket Raturi. Delicately woven together with Sez’s production, the track serves as the anthem of DAKAIT & Aniket’s unconditional love for the mountains, along with the culture and the community that has been a constant source of inspiration for both of them. It celebrates their cultural roots and reminds us that there is no place like home.
Talking about Dev Nagri Sez says, “Dev Nagri opened the gates for me to explore the sonics of the valley, the mountains and to paint that picture with sound was a really beautiful experience.

Then from that point forward it was just a mission for me to make something that sounds’ like it came from the mountains or the valleys and the music should hold enough weight for Dakait and Aniket to write such a beautiful poetic song on it, which they did and we arrived with Dev Nagri.
