MUMBAI: TM Talent Management’s Exclusive Artiste Goldie Sohel returns on TM Music, this time with a dance anthem featuring none other than Vishal Dadlani.
Composed and fully produced by Goldie, ‘Kareeb’ has been a long time in the making. A disco- funk song with a happy, energetic and playful vibe, it’s a result of his experimentation with the genres that inspire him the most. ‘Kareeb’ is about a guy who has a crush on a girl and they incidentally catch each other’s eyes. He then looks for excuses for them to be together. The beautiful lyrics are written by Kunaal Vermaa, who has previously worked with Goldie for ‘Kisi Aur Naal’. While gracing the vocals is Vishal Dadlani as he sings the track with utmost perfection.
Goldie who has recently released successful singles like ‘Aaj Sajeya’ and ‘Kinne Saalan Baad’ said, “I wanted to make a song in the Pop, Funk, RnB and Disco space as I really love these genres. I was experimenting with these and in-fact composed ‘Kareeb’ just for fun. Shortly after that, Tarsame sir asked me to make a song for Vishal sir. We sent it to him, he liked the scratch and instantly agreed to do the vocals. It was a great feeling and I’m very glad that he liked it. I’ve been listening to his music since school days. So, I’m honoured to have him. This is also my first song as a solo music producer so that makes it even more special.”
