MUMBAI: The internationally synchronized annual global festival for peace, ‘The EarthDance Carnival’ is all set to grace India’s live music scene for the first time this month. The global carnival will be held on 22-23 September in Kolkata and Bangalore respectively.
Speaking with Radioandmusic.com, event managers said, “EarthDance Fest is a global event and it isnt a commercial festival, the carnival is organized to support social causes and for social-aid. Its a kind of close event which take place globally. This year it is spanning accoss 25 countries and for the first time India has got a chance to be part of it. The highlight of each event is the synchronized Prayer for Peace.”
In Bangalore, the event will feature a two-stage concert headlined by Booka Shade and Neuromotor along with other artistes such as Franklin D’costa, Akshai Sarin + Priyanka Blah, Vachan Chinnappa, Anoop Absolute, Nitin Mahajan, Braindrop, Onkel Seb, Bad Apple and many more.
While the Kolkatta edition will enlist new set of artistes like Vaeya, Bubble Guns, Audio Pervert, ParaControl, Deep Brown, ShadowBlink and Yidam. The global gatherings held in 60 cities are produced independently by local promoters. The fest spans across 25 countries like Argentina, Australia, Brasil, Canada, Denmark, Germany, Greece, Hungary, India, Israel, Japan, Kenya, NetherLands, UK, SriLanka, Switzerland, US and Thailand, amongst others.
