Ghazal legend Ghulam Ali’s house robbed

MUMBAI: Renowned Pakistani ghazal singer Ghulam Ali’s house in Lahore was robbed of cash and gold ornaments worth Rs 7,00,000 in an armed heist.

According to media reports, the singer’s brother Ashiq Ali stated that on Monday night four gunmen barged into their house in Defence Block J, locked the family inside a room and ransacked gold ornaments weighing around 90 tolas, cash worth Rs 7, 00,000 and several mobile handsets from the house.

Ali said, “The robbers ransacked the family room for about one and a half hours, and there after used a white car to flee.”
