MUMBAI: After serving as chairman of the Indian music industry (IMI) and Phonographic Performance ltd (PPL) for the period 2012-13, Ganesh Jain has been re-elected to the same post of chairman for the period of 2013-2015.
It was an unanimous decision and there was no other candidate who was nominated for the post. Ganesh Jain said, “I did what I had to do and I will continue to push myself.”
He further adds, “Internet piracy is rampant and our team is on it. We have stopped more than 220 internet platform owners/service providers. Our motto is not to harm the internet platform owners or service providers but to lure legitimate business on it.”
The Jains started the business of manufacturing audio cassettes and CDs during the early 80’s under the banner of Venus Records and Tapes Mfg, with the sole aim of providing good quality of music products.
