MUMBAI: Indian television’s best known music talent hunt producer Gajendrra Singh’s Saibaba Telefilms has announced its venture into world of feature films.
The two year old production house now aims to reach the regional audience with its expertise in music reality shows and fiction series. The company has also unveiled its new logo and a spanking new website.
Saibaba’s first film will be titled Yaari Motor Company (YMC). The movie will be directed by Abhijeet Satam. An ace music director duo, as yet unnamed, are being roped in for the film. YMC is a story about four final year students, their geniuses, friendships, aspirations and the motorcycle. The second movie project Gulnar, to be directed by Gajendrra Siingh, talks about the Indo-Pak relationship and will take off by the end of next year.

With the emerging need of personalized programmes on TV, the production house now plans to reach the regional audience with concepts like Gaurav Maharashtracha on ETV Marathi and Sur Sangram on Mahua.
The company’s new website will feature a blog by Gajendrra Siingh.
Saibaba Telefilms, floated in November 2006, is best known for music reality shows like Voice of India I & II and Chotte Ustaad on Star Plus, Chak De Bacchhe and Chak De Sheher di Kudiyan Gali de Gunde on 9X, Waar Parivaar on Sony, Junoon on NDTV Imagine and many others.
Saibaba Telefilms has also started its own music academy – Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Dha Ni Sa in August 2007.
