Prominent personalities attended the 90-minute high octane performance at the VVIP Lounge while Sunil & Mana Shetty played impeccable hosts. Shiamak Davar’s dance act and DJ Akbar Sami’s gig were also the highlights of the event. PETA stalls were displayed at the venue promoting Bryan Adam’s pledge to vegetarianism.

The concert was followed by a celebration party organized by Netsurf Entertainment and Pernod Ricard in honour of the artist. Sujit Jain, Managing Director, Netsurf Entertainment, said, “The effort of arranging a charter plane to transport equipment weighing over 10,000kgs, arranging private kitchens and 100 white towels has definitely paid off! We look forward to a long lasting association with the legend. “

Mana Shetty, Trustee, Save The Children India, said, “The concert gave us a positive boost by donating a percentage of corporate/VVIP ticket sales from all venues to the organization. In the past these funds have gone a long way to secure our children’s future.”

Speaking of his new album, Bryan Adams confirmed, “My latest album Bare Bones is a treasure trove of my classics like Straight From The Heart, Heaven, Cuts Like A Knife and of course Summer of ’69. It is full of audience reactions – claps, cheers, anthemic singing along and woots. The joy of an artist on stage depends on the communication and great response from the people. I went on Twitter and asked fans to make a selection of songs. I got an overwhelming response, so I went ahead and recorded the album. India is a great audience. Everybody who comes to the show knows every word of every song and it feels great to be back here after five years.”

A commoner who started off as a newspaper delivery boy then worked at a pet shop handling dog food and washing dishes at North Vancouver’s Tomahawk Restaurant and digging ditches and stripped forms in construction, Adams gave everyone one a night to remember.

Radio One 94.3 FM is the Radio Partner of the concert.
