MUMBAI: After making it to the number one position amongst SEC AB+ Kolkata’s Friends FM has introduced a new show named Tomake Chai for its night listeners and has changed the timing of Legends.
Tomake Chai is a late night romantic show which talks about romance with everything in the city of Kolkata. This romance is not just limited to relationship with person, they can also be a persons attachment and emotions with abstract things like Kolkata winters, old streets and others.
Tomake Chai has been on air since 4 August in the radio station. The show is host from Monday to Thursday for two hours from 10-12 pm. The show only plays old retro number in both Bengali and Hindi. As part of interactivity, the show does not allow phone calls as it is a late night show which discusses many personal issues on the show. Listeners in the show interact through SMS, emails and letters. The new show is host by RJ Amit who has been doing the Sunday show â€?Friends Cabin’ with the radio station.
Legends the show which was aired on Sunday afternoon has changed its broadcast timings to Friday night from 10-12 pm. The two hour show is dedicated to all the legends in the music industry who has made it to stardom from the scratch. The program has already featured Md Rafi, Aasha Bhosle, R.D Burman and many other legends are already featured in the show with audios of people talking about the artist. The show is host by RJ Sharmistha which only plays songs of the profiled artist of the day.

The new show has been replaced â€?Bari theke bolchi’ which is now off air. â€?Bari theke bolchi’ was on air for more than 5 months. The show allowed caller to host show from their home.
