MUMBAI: PVR theatres across Maharashtra will soon have a new version of National Anthem that is developed by crowdsourcing. The initiative ‘My Nation My Anthem’ was launched by Talenthouse on 26 January to commemorate India’s Republic Day. The initiative that gave an opportunity to budding talents was re-launched today during the revamp of the Fame multiplex in Andheri, Mumbai.
Mumbai’s first multiplex was back after remaining shut for almost one year. PVR Cinemas, City Mall, Andheri was launched on 31 May. The five-screen multiplex is an Enhanced Cinema Experience (ECX) property, the latest values by PVR that aim to bring the next level of entertainment to movie connoisseurs for an ultimate cinematic experience. PVR now has 365 screens in 86 cinemas across 36 cities in the country. Actor Akshay Kumar and PVR Ltd CMD Ajay Bijli inaugurated the theatre officially.
After the re-launch of the anthem, the dais was used to award the winners who were chosen from among 500 interpretations of the Jana Gana Mana, originally created by Noble prize winner Rabindranath Tagore. Analyzing each interpretation, a team from Talenthouse, Shoojit Sircar and Ram Mirchandani handpicked the finest talents who were then creatively supervised to produce the two final films. The anthem created by these young budding talents will now be showcased at PVR Cinemas across Maharashtra for millions of people to appreciate the young talent of India.

Akshay Kumar says, “My clear favorite is the National Anthem film featuring kids as I liked the concept of forgotten heroes brought to life by little children.”
Speaking with Radioandmusic.com Bhatia says, “When I saw the contest online, I approached Saurabh to sing for me and he got ready, after which we recorded and submitted it to them. The interesting part of this track is that the original version we recorded is played; we didn’t have to re-record it.” Bhatia is the youngest in the group of these young talented artistes.
Shetye developed his love for music during his engineering days and currently is with a band Indo-gypsies. “This is a really good exposure. This hopefully will help my voice to reach wider set of audiences so it will expand my reach a lot compared to what I have,” says Shetye.
India Talenthouse CEO Arun Mehra says, “At Talenthouse we aim to provide a life changing opportunity to India’s young and budding artists. My Nation My Anthem was one such initiative that gave young individuals all between the age group of 19 to 27 years their big break. Other dignitaries present at this occasion were director Shoojit Sircar, Rampage Motion Pictures CEO Ram Mirchandani, Focus Circle Group managing director Monish Ghatalia and India Talenthouse CEO Arun Mehra.
