MUMBAI: Army is set to launch the first community radio station in unstable part of South Kashmir,in a bid to help and reach out to the youth.
The first Community Radio Station (CRS) of the Army The Radio Raabta—dil se dil tak—has been set up at Anantnag high ground and is ready to be inaugurated today.
An senior Army officer based in South Kashmir says the radio station was set up and “The aim is to get connected to the local youth directly,”

The active militants in these four districts are locals and there is no let down in the militants recruitment that’s what make them worry for security grid.
The first community Radio station Radio Raabta would be stationed and air most part of the day.The prorgammes will be in Urdu and Kashmir languages ,in the process CRS will also play some genres song from Sufi songs,mix of hindi and Punjabi Songs,
The army hopes it’ll be helpful to reach out to the younger generation,would focus on the content and immediate relevance to the local community.They have planned to launch another station in Shopian district
