MUMBAI: Fever FM RJ Anuraag Pandey is now geared up to act in a Bollywood film starring Sonal Chauhan and Anurag Sinha.
Sonal Chauhan has earlier starred in Vishesh Films’â€?Jannat’ and Anurag Sinha has worked in Mukta Arts’ Black and White.
The film titled â€?Punjab 69′ is the directorial debut of Owais Husain, who is the son of celebrated painter M F Husain. Anuraag plays an important role in the film, which is a fairy tale of sorts set in modern times. A R Rahman has been pencilled in to score the music for the film, it is learnt.

Pandey, who recently moved to Fever from Red FM, says, Fever has its own style and attitude and perception of every station is different. Here the Moto is â€?All about the music’ and in Red it was â€?Bajaate Raho!'”
Pandey has occuped the same slot he hosted at Red, the 11 am to 2 pm one, and his show is being promoted aggressively through print ads to ensure audience loyalty to the RJ.
Says he, I have been working in the radio industry from the age of nine. I do a lot of activities and also have greater connectivity with film industry. Also I relate to the listeners as a part of their family, so these may be the reasons for which Fever has hired me….
Pandey is also hosting a weekend show â€?Picture Pandey’ which is all about the golden period of the Hindi film industry of the 1970s. He will be interviewing many of the artistes from that era on the show.
Just recently, Red FM RJ Mantra took the Bollywood plunge – he will play the second lead in the Soha Ali Khan- Emraan Hashmi starrer â€?Tum Miley’, directed by Kunal Deshmukh.
