MUMBAI: Fever Radio Ramayan series that won gold at the famed New York Festival has expanded its content on mobile carriers Tata Docomo and Indicom.
In April 2011, the audio series was launched on Airtel and generated around four lakh subscribers. The service is currently available in Hindi and Kannada, and soon will be in Telugu and Tamil too.
Fever 104 FM business head S Keerthivasan said, Fever Radio Ramayan on Airtel was our first experimental step on a new platform and the response has given us confidence put many other projects in the pipeline. Ramayan is a timeless classic; all age groups love and learn from it. I’m sure this initiative will be as appreciated by listeners, as our radio version was….
Celebrated artists such as Naseeruddin Shah, Anupam Kher, Om Puri, Javed Jafferi, Ratna Pathak Shah and Jayati Bhatia are the star cast of the Hindi version, whereas Sharath, Sihi Kahi Geetha, Srinagara Kitty and Dilip Raj are part of the Kannada version.
The service will be available for Tata Docomo and Indicom users from October.
