MUMBAI: Even as the nation celebrates 100 years of Indian cinema in various ways, radio stations across the country are also initiating activities around the same. Paying tribute to the occasion, Fever FM has launched a campaign titled ‘100 hours 100 stars’ featuring popular bollywood celebrities.
As part of the campaign, the radio station will feature one popular celebrity every hour on-air reliving the moments in Indian cinema. Commencing today, the week long campaign will have top 100 stars from the industry including Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, Katrina Kaif, Amir Khan, Salman Khan and more sharing their journey, memories and milestones of cinematic history.
The campaign will witness a celebration of legends to the leading stars of today’s era, with 100 hours and 100 stars aiming to captivate the audience. Apart from Bollywood stars, listeners will also hear the journey of popular Marathi, Bangla and Kannada film stars. It will also give the audience a chance to ask questions to their favourite stars through different initiatives.

Listeners will get a chance to hear Shah Rukh Khan talk about his formative years, “During my formative years, three actors influenced me tremendously, Balraj Sahni, Dilip Kumar and Amitabh Bachchan. For me these three have been absolute pillars of the Industry and even if I were to extend the same title to others across Indian cinema I don’t think I would be able to stop as the continuous contribution from several stalwarts has been unlimited. As for movies which define these 100 years, it would be Sholay across the board, my own film DDLJ and Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron which represent our cinema in all its glory.”
Amitabh Bachchan will state, “In these 100 years we have done a lot of progress, at least for the society. Earlier, film stars were looked down upon in the society, but now we have reached a stage where children from well-off families aspire to become a part of the industry and I feel great about the new generation because I feel that they are very capable, doing a great job and all of them are moving in the right direction. They are hard-working and show so much talent that we have never seen.”
