MUMBAI: Evan Lamberg is promoted as the president of North America’s Universal Music Publishing Group (UMPG). Formerly Lamberg has served as east-coast creative executive vice president at UMPG.
In his new role, Lamberg will oversee the North American operations for the company, including its Pop, Urban, Country, Latin, Christian/Gospel and Canadian divisions. Lamberg will be based at UMPG’s world-wide headquarters in California and will report to UMG president & COO Zach Horowitz and chairman & CEO Lucian Grainge.

UMPG has also created a global board to maximize opportunities for talent and business partners on a worldwide basis. The UMPG Global Board will include Lamberg, Paul Connolly (President, UK and Europe), Eddie Fernandez (Senior Vice President, Latin America), Andrew Jenkins (Executive Vice President, Asia Pacific Region/Industry Affairs), Gary Gross (Worldwide President, Universal Publishing Production Music), and Michael J. Sammis (Executive Vice President – Operations & Chief Financial Officer Worldwide).
At UMPG, Lamberg has signed and worked with many of the world’s biggest songwriters and artists, including recording artist Justin Bieber (co-signed with UMP EVP/Head of Urban Music, Ethiopia Habtemariam), Owl City, Songwriter Hall of Fame inductee Desmond Child, 30 Seconds to Mars, Sean Garrett, and Jackie Evancho and many more.
Prior joining UMPG, Lamberg had over seventeen years of successful creative leadership at EMI Music Publishing where he served in various positions, including Executive Vice President of Creative, North America.
