MUMBAI: After a lull of four long years, Indian rock band, Euphoria is looking forward to the release of their fifth studio album in September 2010.
The untitled album consists of eight tracks, each one distinct from the other. Every track talks about something new and is based on themes like love and pride for one’s country. Talking more about the album, band’s lead vocalist Palash Sen said, Love is the only way and love is what we’ve got from Dhoomers all across the world. Music is what we know and music is the gateway to your heart!…
Hungama will be handling the release of our upcoming album digitally but we have still not finalized on the label that will look after its physical distribution,… revealed Sen.
The band releases albums with music which is a mix of electric guitar and conventional instruments like the tabla, dholak. This helps them gain an audience, seen as alternative to the dominant Indian film or classical music. But it always prefers to come up with a complete album differing from current trend of releasing singles.
Artists like Raghav Sachar and Sona Mohapatra have come up with singles and Times Music has released quite a few singles by various artists. Even Kailash Kher rolled over to the digital space with his single track Tere Liye….
Commenting on this widely spreading trend Palash Sen said. Singles is a great idea as they generally target the radio market. But if one wants to capture the larger market and be in the limelight constantly, nothing works better than live performances. These concerts make the band/singer visible and help audiences recognize new talent….
