MUMBAI: Co-writer of Eric Clapton – Bobby Whitlock along with Texas legendary blues-rock band Van Wilks will headline the third edition of ‘Purvankara Indigo n Blues Festival’. The fest will be held on 18 and 19 May at Eden garden, Palace Grounds in Bangalore.
Bobby Whitlock will perform with his band ‘Bobby Whitlock and CoCo Carmel ’. The festival will witness various Indian blues and jazz artistes like Blackstratblues, The Saturday Night Blues Band, Overdrive Trio, Adil and Vasundhara, Groove#3 from Chennai and Chronic Blues Circus.

Bobby Whitlock, better known for being a member of the band Derek & the Dominos has produced some chartbuster records like ‘Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs.’ Along with Eric Clapton he has penned some memorable songs like ‘Tell the Truth’, ‘Keep on Growing’, ‘ I Looked Away’, ‘Why Does Love Got To Be So Sad’, ‘Anyday’ and ‘Roll It Over’.
