MUMBAI: Close on the heels of Sunburn Festival 2012, and the proposed Swedish House Mafia’s (SHM) final concerts in Bangalore and Mumbai this month, Percept’s Sunburn Arena has today announced a new show for March that will feature DJ Armin Van Buuren. He is the number one ranked DJ having won DJ Magazine’s Top 100 DJs fan poll a record of five times, including winning four consecutive years between 2007–2010 and again in 2012.
Buuren along with leading DJs- Tiesto and Avicii will perform in March across Mumbai, Bangalore and Delhi. Buuren will perform in Mumbai on 16 March; Tiesto in Bangalore (29 March), Mumbai (30 March) and Delhi (31 March); Avicii at Mumbai (6 April) and Delhi (7 March).
Although other details of the concert were not revealed by Sunburn Arena, Percept Limited joint managing director Shailendra Singh said that with a growing consumer base for Electronic dance music (EDM) it was only fair that top artists were invited on regular basis.

“Every time we do an act there are 50-60 per cent of new fans and India has 600 million of its population under 25 years of age. Besides the fad factor, we also cater to the intellectual side of EDM where we publish magazines about DJs.”
He said finding brands to associate themselves with Sunburn was not a problem as the brand had established itself.
“We shall strategize about tickets for the concert after the SHM show,” he added.
Swedish House Mafia; the trio consisting of Axwell, Steve Angello, and Sebastian Ingrosso will perform on 20 January in Bangalore and 22 January in Mumbai. The group is disbanding making ‘The One last Tour’ their farewell performance.
