MUMBAI: Janmashtami is around the corner and makers of StarPlus’ show Dil Hai Hindustani 2 left no stone unturned to commence with the colourful celebrations with iconic Indian playback singer Asha Bhosle and Benny Dayal. The duo not only graced the platform but also cheered the contestants.
While they both sang Janmashtami special songs from Bollywood, both, with the judges and the contestants, Ashaji also had some fun moments as she played the famous ‘Matki Tod’ game with kids. The entire episode was a fun knowledge workshop where Ashaji not only shared her experience but also guided the contestants.
On her experience of being a part of the show, Asha Bhosale said, “It feels great to be part of the show that encourages such talented singers to take interest in Indian music and a chance to celebrate it. Indian music is very vast and Dil Hai Hindustani 2 explores it to great extends. It is a show that upholds Indian pride and brings together all Hindustani hearts from around the world. It was a wonderful experience to celebrate Janmashtami with all of them. I feel grateful to be able to nurture these brilliant participants and their singing makes me feel nostalgic.”
