MUMBAI: Based on French composer Maurice Fleuret’s reflections of “the music everywhere and the concert nowhere”, World Music Day was initiated by the French Minister of Culture, Jack Lang in 1982. Did you know that World Music Day is also World Yoga Day? Apple Music did a twist on World Music Day and curated a yoga and meditation playlists that one could listen to during their activities.
Over time, World Music Day has become an international event and is now the day is celebrated on the same day 21 June in more than 120 countries.
