MUMBAI: With an aim to achieve growth in terms of revenue and users, music streaming service –Dhingana has been pushing new initiatives and adding on the already existing services. In the near future, they plan to add new radio stations to the already existing 40 radio stations and introduce premium video advertising on android platform.
Dhingana plans to introduce many more theme and artistes based radio stations; and also make premium video advertising available in android platform effectively. Speaking with Radioandmusic.com, Dhingana co-founder and COO Swapnil Shinde said, “The response have been positive for the radio stations and we have witnessed 150 per cent more engagement on weekly basis.”
He further highlighted, “Our main focus will be to provide theme and artistes based radio services. We already have dedicated full page for this service. It is extremely important for us to respond to the feedback we received on the new services.”
Dhingana has a catalogue of more than a million and have partnered with 600 music label companies, even as they grow with content and listeners, they have to get on-board more advertisers. The recent premium video advertising offering is seen as a way to attract more advertisers and delight the existing one. “We don’t expect the traffic on the site to be affected by any means as the adverts are played when the user is completely engaged,” Shinde said.
Highlighting the various challenges with regards to video advertising, he said, “We will face two challenges, while we implement this on the premium ad platform- as we introduce it on android we have to be careful that users can see the adverts in various platforms effectively and secondly, how we sell the product as part of the premium adverting platform to advertisers.
