MUMBAI: Online music streaming site Dhingana has added international catalogue of Sony and Universal; along with regional labels, Speed Records and Ultra Music to its existing repertoire which expands their offerings to over one million songs.
Speaking with Radioandmusic.com, Dhingana chief executive officer Rohit Bhatia said, “We have always had a versatile partnership with Sony and Universal music labels encompassing Bollywood, Regional, Indi-Pop and as well International content. Now, this has been extended with this new international deal. We have also added thousands of tracks through our partnership with regional labels – Speed Records and Ultra Music.”
By adding one million songs to their catalogue through international and local partnership, Bhatia aims to further enrich user experience, instead merely adding more and more songs. “We are into a race of creating a rich catalogue and continuously focusing on enhancing our user experience. A rich catalogue is defined by music that is popular and relevant for our listeners,” he adds.
Speaking about his RJ curated radio stations service that was launched few weeks ago he said, “The response was phenomenal. But we will wait few more weeks to get the statistics about this game-changing service.”
Dhingana attracts a significant traffic from 220 countries and territories. Apart from India, significant traffic is from US, followed by Europe, then United Kingdom, Australia and Canada.
