MUMBAI: After working on content development, Indian music streaming service Dhingana is building up ways to rake in moolah. The company has announced premium video advertising for iOS that provides advertisers and brands with an opportunity to engage consumers with pre-roll and post-roll TV quality commercials.
The company claims that videos are integrated into the app in a way that it will not hamper the listening experience of users and will encourage them to interact with the 10-to-30 second clickable ads. This will be an opportunity not just for brands but for Dhingana to increase its revenue through advertising. Video ads are displayed when the user comes to a gradual pause in use to ensure higher engagement within the app. Users can then directly click to the advertiser’s page, providing high-impact advertising and ROI for brands.
Dhingana CEO Rohit Bhatia said, “Video is one of the best forms of advertising, delivering two-to-four times higher performance over regular display banner ads on mobile devices. Our video ads are carefully integrated to be shown when the user is already engaged with our music for several minutes to maximize the impact for the advertising brand without compromising the listening experience.”
The ads are currently available for iPhone and iPad, with Android soon to follow.
