MUMBAI: Dhingana, the Indian social music streaming service has surpassed 10.5 million monthly active visitors, making it the world’s top on-demand music service.
According to the statics, the service has acquired more than 4.5 million monthly active visitors from its mobile apps. It receives over 60 per cent web traffic from India including 68 per cent -Android, 98 per cent-Nokia, 50 per cent Blackberry and 30 per cent -iPhone. The site has witnessed over 200,000 new users per month and has also become a mainstream activity on PCs, laptops and mobiles for Indian internet user.
Dhingana CEO and Co-founder Snehal Shinde said, “We are excited to announce our usage statistics which shows that we are the largest player in the Indian music streaming industry today. Dhingana had recently integrated with Facebook and noted that users listen to music two times longer than other users on the web and an average daily user listens to music for 15 mins on the site.
Dhingana was launched in 2007 as a music streaming service for the web but has offered apps for mobile devices including Android, iPhone, iPad, BlackBerry and Nokia smartphones.
