NEW DELHI: The Delhi High Court has refused to entertain the plea of two artists who sought the court’s intervention to be given their share of due from the song Bhaag DK Bose… from the Aamir Khan Production â€?Delhi Belly’.
Vacation Judge V K Shali refused to entertain the matter stating that there seemed to be no urgency in the case which can be listed before the regular court after it opens after 4 July. Thereafter, the petitioners who had claimed copyright of the song withdrew their petition. The song is being aired on radio and TV for the past two months.
The petitioners – acclaimed duo Jiten Thukral and Sumir Tagra – had approached the Court on Wednesday, just two days before the scheduled release of the film, and demanded their share of credit for the song as they had copyright of the expression Bose DK, which they acquired for a series of paintings they had first released in 2005.
