MUMBAI: ‘Rastafari’ famed singer/songwriter DEB also known as Bishwadeb Bhaumik, is surely ending 2016 with high notes. DEB is all set for a ‘sensuous’ music video and a whole new album which will be releasing in January 2017.
Talking about his upcoming single and the album he stated that the name of the single is ‘Tum Gaye Toh..’ (When You Left) and it is a song about love and heartrending.
‘I have been influenced with the revolution in sound and day in, day out it is transforming. I have composed the track almost two months back and I’ve recently finished the shooting for the video. The song is based on electro-pop, which is a completely new genre to me.”

Bhaumik who grew up amongst artistic influences in Kolkata, is a trained Classical musician and also a keen listener of Rabindra Sangeet, Bob Marley and Billy Joel which gave him a musical soul that had an amalgamation of these varied influences, the philosophies behind them and their nuances.
Talking about the upcoming album he stated, “There are so many songs I have created, but I am not sure how many songs will be there in the video. It might be five songs, ten songs even 12 songs. The single ‘Tum Gaye Toh..’ will be a part of the album and there will be two more music videos too.”
Furthermore explaining the concept of his upcoming single DEB said that the music video is based on a couple who splits up and then what happens once one of them revisits.
“It is all about when you come flooding back to the person you love. The video is a sensuous video as I am a starry-eyed persona. However, I made sure I am not doing anything that my mother and grandmother are unable to catch sight of and people get sexually aroused,” he put in plain words.
The music video is directed by Priyanka Ghosh, was shot in and around Mumbai. In addition, DEB also stated that he is not sure on which record label he will release the music video and the album as he is still in that process. It might be Universal Music India or any other record label.
Also, he will be performing in a private gig in Kolkata on 14 January 2017 at Swabhumi.
