MUMBAI: British rock musician, David Bowie, hinted that he could very well release new music soon, but has not revealed by when it could be expected. The news came in a rather casual manner, via a statement at a charity event in London which was held to raise funds for the Terrence Higgins Trust.
In the rather brief statement, the iconic rocker said, “This city is even better than the one you were in last year, so remember to dance, dance, dance. And then sit down for a minute, knit something, then get up and run all over the place. Do it. Love on ya. More music soon. David.”
According to reports, a spokesperson for the ‘Heroes’ singer did confirm that the statement came from him.
Bowie’s last release came as a surprise. In January 2013, he released the single ‘Where We Are Now’, his first release in a decade. The same year in March, he released his 24th studio album- ‘The Next Day’, which earned him a Grammy nomination and a Mercury Prize nomination.
News of his new material may not surprise many as Bowie previously suggested that a new album was in the works. A post by the singer on his Facebook account said that the upcoming album is expected to release sometime this year.
