MUMBAI: The recently released Ek Ladki Ko Dekha To Aisa Laga failed to recreate the magic of original song, but the music video has managed to garner over 14 million views in just 24 hours. And we credit its success to singer Darshan Raval and Rochak Kohli.
Darshan has had a fabulous year 2018 as his songs Chogada, Kamariya, Do Din, Baarish Lete Aana etc., were loved by fans. And the singer has continued his successful innings in 2019 with this song that is co-sung by Rochak Kohli, who is also the music composer of the song. The lyrics are penned by Gurpreet Saini.
Featuring Sonam Kapoor and Rajkumar Rao, the song also has stills of Anil Kapoor, who has featured in the original song by R.D. Burman. The original lyrics were penned by Javed Akhtar.

In an interview to a leading portal, Darshan had revealed that Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga is a new song, new face, having old memories as it retains the old soul of the iconic number. He also informed that 1942: A Love Story was late R.D. Burman’s last album. The singer also pressed that he does believe in doing original music, but it is the soul and original essence of this recreated version, which made him sing it. He was also applauding Rochak Kohli and Gurpeet Saini for their efforts in recreating the song.
Meanwhile, Darshan Raval, who takes six-seven months to make a song revealed that he has two songs releasing, on in January, and another independent romantic number in February. Well, seems like Darshan is all set to slay fans with his fabulous music in 2019 also.
