Lucky Ali will play at the annual college cultural festival Crescendo of the fest, which commences on 21 February. His gig will be the closing gig and more than 150 colleges will participate.
The fest is organised by the International School of Business and Media, Nande and is not just limited to music activities but also dance, marathon, play, competition, contests, inter-college rock band show, and theme photography and so on.
There music contests include Elysium, Battle of Bands, Taal se Taal and Crescendo Idol. Elysium is a professional rock competition. Bands across the country had participated and were shortlisted, who then performed in New Delhi, Bangalore and Mumbai. Co-ordinator of the fest and who was closely keeping track of the competition Anand Verma said, “Soundtree media has partnered with Crescendo for Elysium for this competition. The final winner will receive a cash prize of Rs 1, 50,000 and Soundtree would help the winners to promote themselves in the music space. The first runner up will be given Rs 50,000 as cash prize.” The winners will be announced on 22 February. The participation fee for this competition was Rs 1500 per band.

The other rock band competition ‘Battle of Bands’ is an inter college rock band competition. The winning band will get a cash prize of Rs 5000. The participation fee of Rs. 200 is standard throughout all the competition. In case, one is still craving for more than there is duet singing competition Taal se Taal and solo singing competition Crescendo Idol. Winners for both competitions will enjoy cash prize of Rs 3000.
The major attraction of the fest will be the presence of Lucky Ali who will be performing on the last day of the fest for more than an hour. Lucky Ali Live in Pune tickets are priced from Rs 200 till Rs 300. Sumeet Khabiya who is co-ordinating the gig said, “It will be open for everyone. 100 colleges in and around Pune are expected to come. 50 per cent of the tickets are sold manually and rest 50 per cent will be sold by the online ticketing partner. We are looking forward for the evening.”
