MUMBAI: Apart from being a part of NDTV Imagine’s reality show Junoon Kuchh Kar Dikhaane ka, music composer Anand Raaj Anand has his hands full with Bollywood and regional projects nowadays
Come November, the composer will be launching his first solo album ever. “I have been working on this album for the past one and half years and it is now ready to be launched If things work out, we are planning to launch it on 8 November, which is my birthday,” explains Anand.
The album will comprise ten tracks; eight originals songs and two remix versions, all dance and romance numbers The tracks have been composed by Anand himself and the lyrics are co-written by him and other lyricists, including Sameer
Anand has not yet finalised the label that could launch his album “I am still in talks with two to three companies I am looking for the one offering me good marketing and publicity for the promotion of the album,” he says.
The composer had recently composed songs like Ek Uncha Lamba Kad, Kiya Kiya, Hoth Rasiley from Welcome and Ganpat from Shootout at Lokhandwala, among others “The fact that makes me happy is that youth have accepted my voice in songs like Billo rani or hoth raselee. My four songs after my comeback were hammered properly and are in the must haves in discs and pubs.”
Lined up next are two Bollywood projects, one for director Anees Bazmee and next for David Dhawan ?“All my compositions in Bollywood are on an assortment basis, I believe nobody is in love with the music director but the music However, after this reality show I want to focus more on Bollywood,? Anand asserts.
Anand has also, for the first time, lent his voice for a Bhojpuri film track, E rishta anmol ba composed by music director Lal Sinha Talking about the experience, he recollects, ?“Udit Narayan is the producer of the movie and when he approached me to render a song for his film, I couldn’t turn the offer down For many years now, Uditji has sung my compositions and now I have sung for his movie There is a great potential in regional markets now and I am open to working on a south Indian project by a prominent director?
