MUMBAI: Club FM UAE 99.6, UAE popular radio station from Mathrubhumi Group will host Mathrubhumi-A R Rahman Live 2017 concert on 17 March 2017 at Sharjah Cricket stadium, UAE.
The official announcement about the concert was made by Grammy and Academy Award winner AR Rahman in a media conference held in Dubai. It is after a hiatus of seven years that the Oscar-winning wizard of global music is staging an event in Dubai. This once-in-lifetime opportunity is being offered to the innumerable local fans, including the diaspora, by the Mozart of Madras.
The music and orchestral arrangements will be embellished by technical razzmatazz, sophisticated gadgetry, lasers and kinetic backdrop. The tickets for the concert can be purchased through platinumlist.net.

AR Rahman encapsulated his thoughts on the press conference with his pithy quote, “I am thankful to Mathrubhumi for organising my show, and feels great to perform in UAE after 7 years”.
Addressing the media along with the maestro, Mathrubhumi director marketing & electronic media Shreyamskumar said, “It is with a deep sense of delight and pride, that the house of Mathrubhumi is hosting the musical genius of AR Rahman in Dubai which will be a new precedent of entertainment and connect with our audience.”
Recounting the long relationship with the musical genius, he mentioned how Rahman graciously consented to shift the venue of the Keraleeyam-Jai Ho musical event for HIV-afflicted from the prior decided venue of Thiruvananthapuram to Kozhikode at Mathrubhumi’s request. “He was so much at home in our city of music-lovers and became one of our families. We also experienced the wonder that the man is and continues to be,” said Kumar.
